How to Prevent Bacterial Vaginosis

If you are one of the many thousands of women who suffer from recurrent, repeated attacks of bacterial vaginosis, you must be feeling particularly frustrated-and don't I know it! I counted myself in that group too. I eventually discovered that home remedies for bacterial vaginosis worked far better than all the many courses of expensive antibiotics I had taken over the years.

For more years than I care to remember, I had many outbreaks of BV. For me, although the itching and scratching were almost unbearable, what was the very worse thing was the smell. At the time, I worked in a busy mixed office and I felt completely helpless. I would shower morning and night. I used feminine wipes at every opportunity and would even change my panties a couple of times a day but nothing worked. There is nothing worse than knowing you smell. I certainly found it excruciatingly embarrassing. The worst moment was when my supervisor took me to one side and said that other staff had noticed that I had "body odor". She found it almost as embarrassing as me, but not quite! I knew at that point i had to do something. I'd suspected that other people could smell me, but this was actual confirmation.

I decided I had to do something once and for all and made another appointment with my doctor. He said there was nothing he could offer other than more antibiotics. However, he did give me the first inkling of what I needed to do. He asked me what I though could have been causing the outbreaks and I said I had not idea. He said that the best thing I could do would be to find out what it was and then stop it happening. Well, this was easier said than done, but after looking on the internet, I finally found a method of systematically eliminating every possible cause using home remedies for bacterial vaginosis. This meant that I had a foolproof way of ensuring I could not possibly get BV.

If you are wondering why you can't get rid of your BV, it is probably because you are only treating the symptoms and not the causes. There can be so many different causes that treating each in isolation can be difficult.

Some Of The Common Causes Of Bacterial Vaginosis

* Overwashing
* Using perfumed products around the vaginal area
* A change in sexual partner
* Being generally "under the weather"
* Wearing synthetic panties/tight trousers or pantyhose
* Douching

Some Simple Home Remedies
For Bacterial Vaginosis

* Wash only twice daily, using unperfumed products
* Always use condoms
* Wear only cotton panties and avoid tight-fitting clothing

Natural treatments will help strengthen the immune system, giving the body the ability to fight and kill the bad bacteria present in the vagina. There are three excellent treatments, all of which are completely guaranteed to work not only to give fast relief, but to stop the condition permanently. If you are one of the many thousands of women who have recurrent attacks, then this is absolutely vital. Don't despair though-these treatments will work even if you can't seem to shake off bacterial vaginosis.

A Year Older and a Little Less Wiser

In just one year an awful lot has happened, the complete collapse of the world financial system. Barrack Obama became president. My bad-boy nephew has a girlfriend or two. My 24 month old niece is reading thanks to the ‘Your Baby Can Read’ program. And as for me, I have started a new career in writing and in a few weeks will celebrate another birthday. I should have a party. I can merge both a personal birthday party and the concept of a networking event into one; killing two birds with one stone.

Because I’m new in town, I can invite my immediate small circle of family and their friend. I will also invite potential clients, as well as, those people who are connected in the community. Huh, how can I structure the party and invitations to reflect my intentions clearly? I don’t want to appear ambitious or pretentious. I know one thing for certain… the invitations; the favors and decorations will definitely be DIY. My friend Richard suggested that I go online to get ideas for innovative party themes and decorating tips. There is one site I thought had the best and most economical tips , http://www.celebrating-birthdays.com/invitations/index.shtml and also http://www.celebrating-birthdays.com/crafts/flower-felt-bags.shtml. That’s where I was inspired and came up with a great idea. Take a blank index cards and print the party details on them. Go to the dollar store and purchase some cheap aprons. Then pin them on the apron and send as invitations. UHm…It would be great if I could find melon printed aprons….I’ll keep you posted.

Wake Up Girl! Prince Charming Is Not Coming

What's next. I have spent my entire life with the assumption I was going to find a guy, get married and have babies. I'm now...well let's say over thirty and it hasn't happened. I'm not young anymore and surely a little wear-for-tear. But one thing for certain, time is no friend and I better accept my prince is not coming. I have no choice but to pick up and be the hero in my own life. So with much reservation and fear I forge ahead to a new one. What that entails is a mystery to me, but all I know is today I chose life. There's has to be a world beyond being dumped.
